About Play Your Type
A personality game told through stories
Play Your Type began with a simple idea: a choice is more interesting when someone in a story is waiting for your answer. Instead of a list of abstract statements, you meet friends, neighbours, colleagues and strangers with something at stake.
Twelve stories, two collections
The English collection includes a coastal mystery, an enchanted train, a theatre reunion, a mountain journey, a jazz-age dispute and a discovery near Jupiter. The Chinese collection explores campus life, work, living abroad, a ferry town, a cultivation sect and a colony facing a changing star.
What a result can tell you
The game groups choices using four preference pairs and offers a sixteen-type reflection at the end. This is an interpretive game mechanic, not a validated psychological instrument. A result can be a prompt for conversation; it is not a diagnosis, qualification or permanent identity.
Independent and open to play
This site is independent of the official MBTI assessment and its providers. All stories are free to play without registration. There are no paid results or in-game purchases.
